SUMMARY:
The Production Director is
responsible for leading and overseeing all production operations for
export-quality leather bags, ensuring high efficiency, quality, and compliance
with international standards. This role involves strategic planning, optimizing
production workflows, managing teams, and ensuring that production meets the
requirements of global clients such as Nine West and Giorgio Armani. The
Production Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including
design, supply chain, and quality control, to ensure the seamless execution of
manufacturing operations while maintaining cost-effectiveness and delivery
timelines.
Qualification:
Education: Bachelor’s
Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a
related field; Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years
in a leadership role in leather bag or fashion accessories production; Language: Can speak, write and read Mandarin or other
Chinese language to communicate with Upper Management, clients and suppliers; Technical
Skills: Strong
knowledge of leather goods manufacturing, including sewing, assembly, and
finishing processes; Expertise in production planning, lean manufacturing, and
process optimization; Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate large
teams; Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills; Strong
organizational and project management abilities; Industry
Knowledge: Experience
working with international fashion brands and meeting global compliance

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Production Strategy & Planning:
Develop and
implement production strategies to achieve business objectives.
Forecast
production needs based on sales projections and market demands.
Optimize
production planning to meet client orders on time while minimizing costs.
2. Operational Management:
Oversee the
entire production process, including material sourcing, cutting, sewing,
assembling, finishing, and packaging.
Ensure
production efficiency and minimize waste without compromising quality.
Monitor and
analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
3. Quality Control & Compliance:
Ensure
adherence to international quality standards for leather bags.
Work closely
with the Quality Control (QC) team to implement strict inspection protocols.
Guarantee
compliance with client specifications, sustainability requirements, and
regulatory guidelines.
4. Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and
develop a high-performing production team, including supervisors and skilled
workers.
Foster a
culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Conduct
training programs to enhance employee skills in leather craftsmanship and
modern manufacturing techniques.
5. Cost Management & Efficiency Improvement:
Implement
cost-effective production methods without compromising quality.
Identify
areas for process improvements and automation.
Ensure
optimal use of raw materials to minimize waste and enhance profitability.
6. Supply Chain & Vendor Coordination:
Collaborate
with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of quality raw
materials.
Maintain
strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to optimize the
supply chain.
7. Technology & Innovation:
Introduce
advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment to enhance production
capabilities.
Stay updated
on industry trends and innovations in leather bag production.
8. Reporting & Communication:
Provide
regular reports on production performance, challenges, and recommendations to senior management.
Communicate
effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to align production
goals with business objectives.
* Sewing and Manual Process Supervisor *
JOB SUMMARY:
The Sewing and
Manual Process Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sewing and manual production
processes in the manufacturing of export-quality leather bags. This role
ensures that all sewing, stitching, and manual assembly processes adhere to
international quality standards, meet production schedules, and optimize operational
efficiency. The supervisor will lead a team of skilled workers, enforce quality control
measures, and coordinate with production management to ensure timely and
high-quality output.
Qualification:
Education: High
school diploma, Vocational training, or a Degree in Garment Technology,
Manufacturing, or a related field; Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sewing
operations, preferably in leather bag manufacturing or the fashion industry; Language: Can speak, write and read Mandarin or other
Chinese language to communicate with Upper Management, clients and suppliers; Technical
Skills: Proficiency
in operating industrial sewing machines and manual bag assembly techniques; Strong
understanding of leather handling, stitching, and finishing; Leadership
& Soft Skills: Experience
in supervising production teams; Excellent problem-solving and organizational
skills; Strong attention to detail and quality control.

2. Quality Control & Compliance:
- Implement
and enforce strict quality control measures in sewing, stitching, and manual
finishing processes.
- Ensure
compliance with international quality standards required by premium clients
like Nine West and Giorgio Armani.
- Conduct
inspections and provide feedback to workers on sewing quality and
craftsmanship.
3. Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Identify
bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the sewing and manual process, recommending
and, implementing improvements.
- Train
workers on best practices, proper handling of materials, and advanced sewing
techniques.
- Ensure
optimal use of materials to minimize waste and reduce production costs.
4. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead,
mentor, and train a team of sewing operators and manual process workers.
- Monitor
staff performance, provide coaching, and ensure compliance with company
policies.
- Foster a
culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
5. Equipment & Workplace Maintenance:
- Ensure
sewing machines and manual process tools are in good working condition.
- Coordinate
with maintenance teams for machine repairs and preventive maintenance
schedules.

6. Coordination & Reporting:
- Work
closely with production planners, quality control inspectors, and supply chain
teams to ensure smooth operations.
