Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Accounting

Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS); Record and reconcile financial transactions, including assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses; Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.

2. Taxation

Compute, prepare, and file BIR tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax, withholding tax); Ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws and updates from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR); Advise management on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities legally.

3. Audit and Compliance

Perform internal or external audits to ensure financial integrity and compliance with GAAP and local regulatory requirements; Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements; Prepare audit reports and present findings to management or clients.

4. Budgeting and Financial Analysis

Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts; Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and business improvement opportunities; Support decision-making by providing management with accurate financial insights.

5. Advisory and Consulting (for some roles)

Provide professional advice on business performance, investments, and risk management; Assist clients in setting up accounting systems and improving internal controls.
